Serving our community
At Grace House, we believe in community and getting involved at every possible opportunity. We regularly volunteer at local nonprofit organizations and recovery centers in the greater Portland area. Whether it's answering the phones at the nearby support center, organizing clothes donations for a neighborhood in need, or offering a helping hand at a charity event, the women at Grace House are committed to giving back as much as possible.
Our allies
Portland Recovery Community Center
The Portland Recovery Community Center stands as a safe haven for people from every recovery pathway and for all of our recovery allies. Founded in 2011, PRCC has had over 80,000 visitors, 2000+ new members, and over 600 volunteers donating nearly 25,000 hours of their time.
St. Vincent de Paul
The St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen, Portland, Maine, supports the community by providing a nutritious hot lunch Monday-Friday for homeless and economically disadvantaged Greater Portland residents.
We provide hot meals, bag lunches, food pantry, clothing and various sundries.
Garbage to Garden
Once a week, we collect your food scraps at the curb, leaving you with a clean bucket or a fresh compostable liner* - and, if requested, a bag of MOFGA approved compost.
